The podcasting elective class for Fall 2011 recorded the wonderful story of the Christmas Truce, as scripted by Aaron Shepard. It is a touching real-life story and the class had fun recording it. Be sure to listen through to the end for some entertaining bloopers.

For those of you who are not aware – OLM has a troop of Girl Scouts that meet on campus every week after school. Along with the OLM standards we try to have our Girl Scouts volunteer for the community whenever possible. Just a quick note of some of the things we have done in the past month or two. For Red Ribbon week our girls tied red ribbons around every tree on campus – we are commited to being drug free. Also we have made and are donating 6 blankets to the Blanket Drive hosted by OLM’s own Maddison Foss. We mareched in the Veterans Day Parade and are planning on marching in the Christmas Parade in a couple of weeks. We hope to do much more for our school and our community.
The Podcasting elective class of Fall 2011 produced this video as part of today’s Veteran’s Day program. The poem is from Joanna Fuchs and is titled “They Did Their Share”. We used “God Bless America” (from archive.org) as our background music. The students did a great job and the veteran’s very much appreciated it.
